‘Les Grimous’ is situated near the village Saussignac in the department of the Dordogne in Aquitainian region. It counts just over 400 inhabitants. In the picturesque village you can find a covered market underneath the church tower. The village also has a bakery, postal office, bank and restaurant ‘Le Lion d’Or’ which is only a five minute walk from the house.
Saussignac is situated 10 miles from the city of Bergerac, 40 miles from Perigueux and 45 miles from Bordeaux. All the traditional and typical Dordognian villages are in the vicinity of the house. The holiday cottage is surrounded by vineyards, orchards of peaches and plums, peace and quiet guaranteed …
The surroundings of Bergerac is influenced by the vicinity of the ocean as well as her inland position. In this way there is a micro climate which offers the holidaymaker a superb and intense experience of every season. During spring the fast rising temperatures show a wonderful blossoming of nature. Les Grimous’ is easy to reach by care from Belgium, the Nederlands, the United Kingdom. Take as a starting point Paris. Once you have passed through Paris, or around Paris you take the direction of ‘Bordeaux’ and ’Orléans’ until the A71. Take further on the A20 in the direction of Bordeaux and then follow the A89 in the direction of Bordeaux. Take exit 17 ‘Mussidan’. Just after the exit you follow D709 in the direction of ‘Les Leches’ from that point you will follow first the direction of Roquepine then Bosset, followed by Laubanie to end up in Gardonne. Now you are close by Saussignac.
